Toowoomba real estate agents are excited by the strong demand for industrial land in the city’s western areas, after three sales were recorded in one suburb for a combined $6.65m.
Torrington was the location of three industrial transactions in the past month, headlined by the purchase of the Lindsay International depot on Kimberley Court for $3.4m through LJ Hooker.
The agency also handled the sale of 4.4 hectares of cleared industrial land on Cumners Road for $1.6m.
Elsewhere, Colliers International also secured the purchase of a vacant warehouse on Tait Street.
LJ Hooker principal Mike Stewart said investor interest in industrial sites had been strong for several years.
“You could break (Kimberley Court) into three titles, it has three crossovers and it can take road trains,” he said.
“There’s always good demand for this type of land.”
Colliers International’s managing director Dan Dwan was also contacted for comment.
