Clovelly house price record smashed with circa $13.5m sale as Isador Magid grandson pounces

12 Victory Street, Clovelly, has sold for circa $13.5m.

The Clovelly house price record has been smashed with a circa $13.5m sale, and the buyers have just sold their home for a record-breaking price in a neighbouring suburb.

Anthony Goodridge, grandson of the late multi-millionaire property developer and philanthropist Isador Magid, and his wife Daniella sold their home at 27 Bishops Avenue, Randwick, for more than $8.5m on Wednesday evening.

Now, sources other than any of the sales agents involved, have revealed that the Randwick couple snapped up the Clovelly home of award-winning mortgage broker Jeremy Fisher of 1st Street Home Loans.

PPD Real Estate principal Alexander Phillips and David Tyrrell had been guiding $12m for the five-bedroom home at 12 Victory Street.

As the advert says, the house has “a resort-like ambience reminiscent of an Aegean dream”.

The house is on a 613sqm block.

The advertising blurb says: “The Spanish Mission-style home been transformed into a luxurious family entertainer with a resort-like ambience reminiscent of an Aegean dream.”

It also has a “captivating ocean outlook and dream island vibe”.

Property records show Fisher bought the home for $7.2m in 2016 and judging by the marketing photos he’s done some cosmetic internal improvements including a new kitchen and bathrooms.

The stylish new kitchen.

Fresh, beachy interiors.

The house, on a 613sqm block, was designed by award-winning architect Jon King, has an 8m mosaic-tiled heated pool, a huge basement and five-car garage.

The sale price is a huge jump from the previous Clovelly record of $9.9m, set by Phillips last year when professional gamer and internet personality Lannan Eacott (aka LazarBeam) bought a five-bedroom home at 24 Ocean Street last June.
